Attic insulation

Blown-in cellulose or fiberglass to today’s recommended depth.

Most Hudson Valley homes built before 1990 have far less attic insulation than recommended. We air-seal first, then blow in an even blanket to the right depth, with baffles so the roof still breathes.

Signs you need it

  • You can see the tops of the attic floor joists
  • Ice dams in winter
  • A hot upstairs in summer

How we do it

  1. PrepAir-seal the attic floor, protect recessed lights and install vent baffles.
  2. InstallBlow in cellulose or fiberglass to the target depth and mark it with depth rulers.
  3. FinishInsulate and weatherstrip the hatch; photo-document every area.
Paying for it: Covered by grants for qualifying customers when the assessment calls for it. Check if you qualify →
